Sender Policy Framework (abbreviated to SPF) is a method to reduce spam. This method has been around for a while and is being used by numerous companies. Incoming e-mail on the 1A server is now automatically checked whether it complies with the rules of SPF.
With SPF an attempt is made to determine whether the sender of a mail message is authorized to send that message. If this is not the case, for example, when an infected computer sent the message, that e-mail will get a higher spam score and will be marked as spam sooner.
