Telephony: New features

Again good news for users of 1A-telephony: we have expanded the possibilities yet again! This time we have ensured that you can dial out anonymously on a non-anonymous line, set office hours per external line, link an extension number to an external line, configure hunt groups, and enable showing the caller name, if present in the Zarafa address book, on the display of the phone.

Dial out anonymously on a non-anonymous line

It is now possible to dial out anonymously on a non-anonymous line via the Phonetool or by prefixing the number with #31#.

Set office hours per external line and linking an extension number to an external line (Webmanager)

Office hours can now be set when configuring an external line. By default, the global settings are used.

Also, an internal extension number can now be linked to an external line. The internal number follows the same action queues as as a call on the external line, but it always does so using the rules for inside office hours.

Hunt groups (Webmanager)

These are simple call groups to an internal number where users and / or telephones can be a member of. These can be configured so the phones will ring simultaneously (all at once) or round robin (one by one).

Caller name display if present in the Zarafa address book

It is now also possible to have the name of the caller, if present in the Zarafa address book, shown on the display of the telephones. This option is disabled by default. Your 1A-partner can enable this feature for you.

Provisioning

Many phone vendors supply devices with their own firmware. 1A First Alternative is a strong supporter of standards, so we decided to only extradite phones with the standard international firmware of Yealink. This ensures that the firmware is the same everywhere so we can offer better support.

The big disadvantage of this international Yealink firmware was that it is not available in Dutch., so our translator has been working diligently and has provided the Yealink phones with a Dutch translation.

No 1A telephony yet? Please contact your 1A-partner as soon as possible to switch to 1A telephony!
